Sasha Abt received scrapbook

Irene presented Sasha with a new scrapbook with letters and messages from his fans at the "Ice Symphony Show" (Ilia Averbukh's Russian Stars on Ice tour) in Riga on April 12. Sasha was pleased to receive such a personal gift and thanks all his fans who participated. He then spoke about how much he enjoys the tour. "There is always a big crowd. I learned snowboarding in Krasnoiarsk and I'm now a real snowboard fan", he said. "In Khabarovsk we played ice hockey and we beat the ice hockey players 7:3." On the other hand, Sasha misses his family. "I'm living like a gypsy and I haven't seen Lena and Makar in a while."
Sasha now is living in New Jersey again. When he is home, he is coaching at the "Ice House" in Hackensack alongside with his wife Lena, Nikolai Morozov, Vakhtang Murvanidze and Roman Serov. "The cooperation with the director of the skating school, Craig Maurizi, is great. Makar has now started skating and is coached by Vakhtang, and sometimes even by Kolia (Morozov)", Sasha revealed.
Sasha will go to New Jersey during the break of the Russian tour from April 30 to mid May. Then he'll join the tour again until June 9. As for the fall, his plans are not certain yet. He might go to Japan or to Russia again.
