Eröffnung des IceDome 2008 in Oberstdorf
Vom 14. Juni bis 13. Juli 2008 trainieren Sportler aus aller Welt im Eissportzentrum Oberstdorf beim „IceDome 2008“, um sich auf die neue Saison vorzubereiten. Mit Videoauswertung, Ballet, Athletik und Physiotherapie bietet das Camp ein Rundum-Paket. 14 Trainer, drei Physiotherapeuten und ein Arzt werden den Nachwuchs und die Topläufer betreuen. Unter anderem nehmen Carolina Kostner (Landesmeisterin, Europameisterin und Vize-Weltmeisterin), Tomas Verner (Landesmeister und Europameister), Sarah Meier(Landesmeisterin, Vize-Europameisterin) und Annette Dytrt (4-fache deutsche Meisterin, EM- und WM-Teilnehmerin) am IceDome teil.
Der IceDome startete mit der Eröffnungsfeier am Abend des 14. Juni im Oberstdorf Haus. Zur Einstimmung wurden Videos von erfolgreichen Läufern gezeigt und die Organisatorin Claudia Huth sowie 1. Bürgermeister Laurent Mies hießen alle willkommen.
Am 27. Juni steht eine Jubiläums-Party auf dem Programm. Das öffentliche Schaulaufen am 11. Juli, das schon in den Vorjahren auf höchstem Niveau über 1200 Zuschauer begeisterte, bildet den krönenden Abschluss.

The international training camp "IceDome 2008" in Oberstdorf attracts from June 14 to July 13 figure skaters from all over the world, who want to prepare for the next season. The camp offers the complete package with video analysis of practices, ballet and athletic training as well as physiotherapy. 14 coaches, 3 physiotherapists and one supervising doctor will take care about youngsters and top skaters alike. Top stars of IceDome 2008 are European Champion and World silver medallist Carolina Kostner, European Champion Tomas Verner, European silver medallist Sarah Meier, multiple German Champion Annette Dytrt.
The IceDome 2008 kicked off with an opening cermony on June 14 in Oberstdorf. The organizers showed videos of the performances of successful skaters. IceDome manager Claudia Huth and Oberstdorf's mayor Laurent Mies welcomed all skaters and guests. Other highlights of the camp include a party on June 27 and the exhibition gala on July 11. More than 1,200 spectators had come to the gala in the past.
